博士終於吃下半顆定心丸，第一科資格考總算通過。擁有了四分之一的所謂博士候選人資格。注意!! 精確地說，是候選人，不是博士。
這半粒遲來的丸子可是有點故事。為了體恤半路經過的人，我就從頭說起了。
考這博士班，其實是個緣份，想當初吼叫了整年說考博士班的話就是腦袋有問題，結果沒想到聽聞台大有個新博班，就報了去考，到底是不是腦袋其實真的有問題可能不是現在就能搞的清楚。面試當天，考官的尖銳提問大略只是用神情或語氣在嚇唬我，反倒是一個極有誠意而語帶關心的提問讓我愣了半晌: 我們這邊要資格考，我想你應該清楚，沒有問題嗎?
這是我第一次聽到"資格考"這個專有名詞。
當時的驚駭程度不是一般人所能想像，在入口處被工讀生詢問: 你沒有先來找教授!?時所獲得的驚訝與此相比頓時微不足道。
資格考?? 我知道妳現在就像個求知慾旺盛的孩子瞪大眼睛瞧著我，現在就讓四分之一的博士解釋給你聽。
基本上，資格考就是博士班學生為了證明自己有資格進行博士研究所必須之考驗。在臺大資訊系的系統裡，資格考的標準形式就是考試，一共有六個科目給你選，選考四科，除非你是高手高手高高手，否則你不會想聽這些科目名稱；也不會想碰，諸如高等計算機網路、高等作業系統等...這些科目好像要總要加個高等才能證明自己是給高手考的。而我所就讀的台灣大學資訊網路與多媒體研究所的博士班資格考，則有另外兩種途徑，一是修課成績為全班前20%；或是二為發表一篇論文到所謂的優秀研討會或期刊。這點自以為彈性的規定其實有點詭異，相較於可掌握的程度，很顯然的，發表PAPER的不可預測性最高，除非對自己有非常自信或是非常幸運之人才會放棄修課抵免或是考試抵免這兩條路。
所以，我的故事是，花了整整半年修了Computer Graphics這門課，努力的考了期中考(總之還是得考試Orz)，又焦頭爛額的弄了個期末project，換來的是徒呼負負，未達抵免標準! 低落了整整個把月，眼睜睜的看著其他同時修課的同級生們歡樂的"以修課抵免"，我還是硬吞那低落到足以落淚城河的情緒認命地報名了資格考試，科目當然是剛才修過的CG。我以一貫的以十分想認真但是完全認真不起來的考試準備方式，硬考了(硬著頭題去考)。
這故事是個極短篇，所以很快就有了結果，三月的最後一天，考試通過，天降甘霖。
或許是出題的老師看我可憐，又或許是他覺得反正放水也只肥了同樣報考的另外一人(沒錯，只有兩人報考)，不過總之，結果就是闔家歡樂，定心丸大放送，四分之一的信心順利入袋。
聽故事的人可能覺得不怎麼高潮迭起，但是說故事的人其實等待這一刻等了一年半載。這個博士班上了，並不像當年錄取了元智資傳所，足足開心了大半年，作夢真的都會發出爽歪的笑容。反觀這個博士，基本上從我得知榜上有名；高中錄取；上網查詢資格考的定義，臉色大便之後，就一路緊繃，從來沒有一刻放心過。現在總算有個好的開始。
對時間敏感的人，應該會發現所謂的三月底；天降甘霖，距今也是整整兩個禮拜，這段時間，博士提出的解釋是，我在集氣。歡迎所有的花草樹木一起給我力量，讓我湊滿最後的四分之三，擊敗邪惡的弗力札吧!! (難笑)

以元智的狀況來說，的確是不需要搶教授。
有可能研一或研二才會開始做選擇，
現在的規定是怎樣，可能就要你去一趟學校問問之後的學長姐吧
